Several crucial Safari bugs left unsquashed with the 2.2 update

Several vital Safari bugs were not fixed in the 2.2 update which include: Links to applications in the App Store still do not work, giving an error instead of opening the App Store program. Seeing that these link to Apple’s own store, this is pretty inexcusable. Was this not tested? A real surprise.

TechCrunch says that an iPhone App Store developer can possibly put a hack in their software that will allow the application to run some kind of unknown code.

The security hole should be mended as soon as possible in the next firmware release.
