Well, I vote a YES!!
Many people prefer other network besides ATT. And some of them don’t want to use the data rate plan for iphone. It’s too damn expensive. ATT doesn’t even give a discount if you buy iPhone with the plan. So, it’s pretty much only a phone — which ATT wants to reserve to be used only with their network. Kinda selfish I think, but, whatever.
The only thing that prevent people from unlocking their iphone is worrying too much over the iphone suddenly being locked again after using certain softwares, etc.
That is actually a small problem only. If your iPhone suddenly locked itself, you can unlock it super easily. There are many guides on the internet. Find one for yourself. Even my friend can do it for free =)
